Music Licensing & Content Attribution

This document provides standard industry licensing rules for instrumental beats generated and distributed through Quick Beat Drops. It details how creators, recording artists, and content producers can legally use and monetize your catalog.

01. Default Licensing Models

Quick Beat Drops automates standard type-beat metadata, licensing watermarks, and video badges. By default, tracks rendered by the platform include the top-right overlay:

Standard Studio Overlay: "FREE FOR NON-PROFIT"

Allows independent artists, streamers, and video creators to record vocals or use the instrumental in non-monetized videos with clear credit given to your linked channel or producer name.

02. Free for Non-Profit Usage

Non-profit use includes:

  • Free songs uploaded to SoundCloud or YouTube without monetization.
  • Student films, school projects, or educational presentations.
  • Background music in non-sponsored podcasts or non-monetized livestreams.

Non-profit usage does NOT grant the user permission to register the master recording with digital distributors (e.g. DistroKid, TuneCore) or enroll the beat in YouTube Content ID.

03. Commercial Leasing & Rights

If an artist desires to release a song commercially (Spotify, Apple Music, radio, monetized video), they must acquire a commercial lease or exclusive license directly from you.

You can customize the description template in Settings → YouTube Defaults to link directly to your BeatStars, Airbit, or direct PayPal/Stripe purchase link.

04. Mandatory Attribution Format

All non-profit releases utilizing your instrumentals must display credit in the track title or description. The standard platform format is:

(Prod. by [Your Channel / Producer Name])

Quick Beat Drops automatically stamps your channel name onto the video header and embeds standard attribution into pinned comments and description footers.

05. YouTube Content ID & Copyright Protection

Important Notice on Content ID Enrollment

Because generative AI synthesis may share sonic characteristics or harmonic structures across different models, users must exercise caution before enrolling purely AI-generated instrumentals into automated YouTube Content ID fingerprinting systems. Doing so may cause false-positive copyright claims against legitimate creators.

06. Generative AI Legal Disclosure

Audio rendered by Quick Beat Drops leverages state-of-the-art machine learning diffusion and transformer models (e.g., Suno audio models). Under current international copyright jurisprudence:

  • Raw machine-generated outputs without human authorship may not qualify for full statutory copyright protection in certain jurisdictions (such as the United States).
  • However, human curation, creative arrangement, prompt crafting, mastering post-processing, and video composition constitute protectable derivative creative works.
  • Quick Beat Drops does not warrant exclusivity against similar algorithmic outputs generated by independent third parties using identical prompt seeds.
